Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is coming out...sooonnn. July 15th to be more precise, and well here at Hindi Bindi, we love our Harry Potter. So with that said we're stubbornly yet anxiously counting down the days, so in these few days we'll be Harry Potter-ing your life =). Ok so if you're reading this... you're probably a Harry Potter fan, but you aren't the greatest Harry Potter fan?!?!?! So for these few days, we're gonna teach you HOW TO BE THE ULTIMATE HARRY POTTER FAN!!!!! So despite the fact that some of this advice may be shaky...no scene =P. Trust me, once you do everything we tell you, the world will probably believe you're the great J.K Rowling herself! So what are we waiting for?!?! Let's get started on transforming you into the greatest HP fan everrr.....
1. Honor thy House.
So we are all aware of the Hogwarts Housing system where the sorting hat places you into one of the four houses. Well you need to decide what house you are in, but you can't choose!!! IT'S NOT YOUR CHOICE!!!! Leave it to the sorting hat man! Ok so I got Slytherin twice! Must be Slytherin. So now that you have your house, be a true patriot and wear your house colors all the time!!! Be proud of your house, wear your ties and discriminate against the people that aren't in your house. For hell's sake will I be talking to a Gryfinndor?!!? Hell NO! And well my real school has houses as well and what?! I'm in the green house!! =D So I refer to that as Slytherin and well so should you =). And be sure to wear your scarves to sporting events... most preferably quidditch.
2. Honor thy Dress code.
So to wear a tie and a scarf and to forsake all those who are not in your house is not enough!!! You will never get anywhere by just following #1! You need to honor the dress code, wear your robes man! Ok so that may be asking too much. I don't expect you to go and order an authentic Harry Potter robe in your designated house color to wear all the time?!?! I expect you to make one at least?! =P So what you need to do, is get outfits that resemble the uniform or that are at least inspired by HP. Remember to flaunt your house color and stick to it, you cant be a Hufflepuff today and a Ravenclaw tomorrow, that's unacceptable. So wear your HP outfits to all events and if you have pajamas then even better.
3. Honor thy Pets.
Ok yea, so you look like a true wizard or witch, very good.... but what about your four legged friend?!?! 2 if you own a bird?!!? How can you be a fan if your pet isn't a fan?!?! You people are despicable! Every wizard needs his magical familiar, so if you don't have a pet go, and buy one!! So once you have a 'familiar', make them into the next HP ultimate fan, dress them up in full wizarding apparel and then the two of you are ready to hit the streets, or anywhere for a matter of fact.
4. Honor thy Party wear.
So even Harry, Hermione and Ron didn't wear robes all the time. So yea, you need a break from the uniform... definitely! You can't be seen in that when partying... unless you have a slutty version. So for all my guys out there ... and my girls who don't want to dress slutty... the answer is simple. HARRY POTTER T-SHIRTS!!! T- shirts are fun and casual, and nothing beats a good HP t-shirt and nothing says you're a fan more than that! So when you're not wearing your uniform, wear a HP tee, and well you're partying... relax.... you don't need to support your house all the time and be a rival 24/7! Socialize, dance with your other mates in your HP tee.
5. Honor thy Food.
So you're pretty much almost a great HP fan, you surely look like one on the surface... but what about on the inside?! Are you eating muggle food? =S Dirty!!! So you need to eat like a wizard.... but what do wizards and witches eat and drink besides pumpkin juice?! And well I don't know about you, but I don't eat beef and other things which are mentioned, so here's what you'll do.... eat food that looks like HP. Since you probably can't eat what is actually eaten by them in the book and movie, you shall eat food that is made to celebrate the existence of HP such as decorated cupcakes! If you eat anything else, you will be lying to nobody but yourself, because us,TRUE NEARLY ULTIMATE HP FANS KNOW THE TRUTH.. we can see through the lies =P.
6. Honor thy Jewelry.
Didn't I tell you to dress like a wizard/witch?! Why are you still wearing your normal bling man?! Throw that stuff away, and go and buy yourself some real jewelry...a.k.a. some Harry Potter jewelry. So once you buy your HP bling, which are probably based on different details and aspects from the movie or are made by creative minds... wear it! Especially to parties because you need to dress up and look HAWTT =D lolz.
7. Honor thy Physical house.
So yes, you need to honor your physical house as well. Your own dwelling... is it far from a common room? Does it not look like the Hogwarts castle itself? If your answer to both of those questions is YES, then you are doing a horrible job. So yes it's great to look like a HP fan/ Hogwarts student... but you need to live the life as well, you can't wake up with your muggle paint and muggle pillows?!!? Potter that shit yo! [yes I had to go gansta ok =P] What you wanna do is remodel your house, well that's kinda hard and a bit extreme, so you just want to redecorate. Get HP themed pillows and fabric for curtains. Throw out your metro furniture and get replace them with that which resembles the furniture from the movie. Get wall hangings and rugs, replace the pictures of your friends and family in your home with that of the cast. [nooooo that's not crazy at allll....lolz]. So only then can you live like a wizard or at least feel like you're living in the wizarding world. If you want to create secret passage ways in your house or turn your study into an exact replica of Dumbledore's office.. be my guest.
8. Honor thy Nails.
Ok, so you pretty much look like a pro, with your clothes and your jewelry... but what about your nails?!?! I'm sure they feel rejected?! =O So that's why you should treat them to a Potter makeover as well! Paint your nails in your house color or do HP decals on them. Be creative, you use your hands for pretty much everything! So pretty much everyone will see what you do to your nails. Use your skills to show the world how much of a HP fan you are... the power to do that is at your finger tips =P.
