Grads dresses: Brown

"Being a natural tone, brown equates to trust and someone being down-to-earth. Brown is often used by designers to represent people who are intellectuals. It is a solid color regularly capable of replacing black as a stable in the closets of the fashion forward." - FW Editor.

So a brown dress is probs not at the top of the list, but it never hurts to try anything, right?!? Well ofc I'm rite =P. So yea, in choosing a brown dress which is difficult since our skin varies in tones of brown; you don't want your dress to be the same color as you, cause den that would just look nasty. We're looking for a level of contrast; hence if you're pale you cud try a chocolate brown dress and well if u're chocolate n u wear a chocolate dress.... that screams mess =)

Grads dresses: Yellow

"yellow is know as the happiest color of all and brings out the positive side in you. It's a color of power and is said to inspire creativity; which explains the yellow sticky notes and legal pads. Originally the color was difficult to pull off and not much widely worn, but now the color is much liked and a must have in a wardrobe." - FW Editor.

So I guess yellow can be a questionable color, especially when considering your complexion. But there are many shades of yellow, so you just have to find the right one in the right material because a bright sunshine yellow satin dress is pretty questionable for almost everybody. Do not fear the dahl color my friends because it may be more flattering than you think. And a plus... since a lot of people are afraid of wearing yellow and don't like yellow, this is a wonderful opportunity for you to have a one of a kind dress and really stand out from the crowd.

Grads dresses: Purple

"The color purple expresses wisdom, respect and nobility. It has been used all across history as the official color of royalty. Wearing purple represents a certain charm and dignity. At the same time, purple has a secondary aspect to it, which is why it is so popular with teenage girls.Purple is a combination of blue and red which makes it quite individual as a color. Another aspect of purple is that it represents creativity, independence and a sense of exotic imagination. " - FW Editor.

Wearing purple can be trouble some, since almost everybody else, will most likely be wearing purple =S. I mean, if you think about it, nearly every teenage girl's favorite color is purple, so they're all excited to get a purple dress, and in some places where black dresses are not permitted; a nice violet dress comes in quite close. So the key to wearing purple is to be unique, you may have to do a few personal touches and tweaks to your dress if you want to be the only person with 'that' purple dress. Lilac is also a nice color and well not much people may be vying for lilac as they will be for purple. Shades of purple in one dress is also very pretty and different =)
